Todd V. Byhre – President/COO/

Prior to joining Rebound Hospitality, Todd had two decades of experience as a general manager, director of sales, director of operations and a small business owner in the hospitality industry including a eleven years as General Manager and two years as Director or Sales for a Holiday Inn/Crowne Plaza Hotel in Eagan, MN. He has an extensive background in business development, human resource management, leadership development, property renovations, interior design, space planning, marketing and branding.

Todd excels in rate in revenue management consistently exceeding market fair share for revenue per available room and driving length of stay. Todd has received the following American Hotel and Lodging Educational Institute certifications: CHA, CFBE and CHSP. Todd has completed general manager and orientation programs for Holiday Inn, Crowne Plaza and Best Western franchises. Additionally Todd has worked as a director of operations for the following brands: Hawthorn Suites, Best Western, AmericInn and Super 8. Todd successfully converted the Holiday Inn-Mpls Airport in Eagan, MN into a Crowne Plaza Hotel in 1997. The Crowne Plaza subsequently went on to receive Quality Excellence Awards from Intercontinental Hotel Group 5 of the next 6 years.

Given the opportunity to transform the Archer House by Brett and Jennifer beginning in the summer of 2008, he made the move back to Northfield and began the process of both renovating the property and using technology and industry best practices to transform the business. Through this process, Rebound Hospitality was created in order to make challenging, historically significant properties sustainable for their communities, employees and investors.

Todd is grateful for the opportunity to be directly involved in the lives of so many of the properties leaders and employees. While the hospitality industry often requires long hours and travel, a good part of the work life balance comes through service to others and how much fun we have while overcoming challenges and designing solution that help us meet or exceed our objectives as a team.

Raised in Edina, Minnesota by liberal parents, there has never been anything typical about Todd’s path. Exposed to social justice issues in his youth through his parents and his church, Todd drawn to businesses and community organizations that improve people’s live through opportunity and advancement.

As his children become young adults, Todd hopes to find more time for skiing in Colorado and traveling to and with his children. For Todd there will forever be blurred lines between leisure and professional time as one of the joys of the hospitality industry is seeing what is new in hotels, restaurants, service and design as he travels around the corner or around the world.
